
The Indiana Biobank Steering Committee is comprised of 13 scientific and administrative leaders who will ultimately be responsible for making the operational and fiscal decisions for the Indiana Biobank.
The CAB is made up of 7 members who are prominent members from various group within Indiana communities. The CAB will play a vital role in the governance structure of the Indiana Biobank. The CAB will work closely with the Indiana Biobank Steering Committee (IBSC) and the Community Advisory Council (CAC). The Chair of CAB will also be a member of the IBSC. Members of the CAB are:
The Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) for Indiana University and its affiliated organizations are responsible for the review and approval of all research involving human subjects conducted under the auspices of these institutions. The IRBs are charged with protecting the rights and welfare of human research subjects recruited to participate in research activities and to ensure compliance with applicable University and organizational policies and federal regulations.
The IB Scientific Review Board will be comprised of scientists and representatives who will evaluate the scientific merit of the proposal for usage of IB samples and data.
